best birthday EVER!

thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, and fun surprises!!
1) my sister heather and i live about 2 hours from each other. she made plans for my birthday, so friday we drove & met halfway for lunch! it was soooo fun! and the stinker wouldn't let me pay for ANYTHING! thank you for spoiling me hedda! her girls were hilarious, and malled tenley, which was great, tenley sure loves the attention! i couldn't stop laughing at all the cute/funny/witty things her kids say. it was a good time! they also gave me a fun gift: a little oyster/pearl/necklace kit... i cracked open the oyster, and there was a pearl inside, and a cute little necklace to put the pearl into! sydney was so excited about the little "creature" (oyster) and even touched it! the color of my pearl was "purple" and is supposed to bring me "wealth." i can't wait for that! hehehe
2) scott got off work an hour early, which was a fun surprise! i opened my gift from him, a really cute tankini!! gotta hide those little stretch-marks from incubating tenley! scott picked it out all by himself, i was impressed, it fits and is sooo cute! i love it cuz the top is nice and long. but then he had ANOTHER surprise! he had made dinner plans, babysitter plans, and had a hotel reservation! YAY!!! (it was such a thoughtful gift, especially because tenley has been sick and cranky this week with croup & an ear infection, so i needed a break!) it was our first over-nighter away from T, and i couldn't stop thinking about her at first. but once i blocked my mind, it was soooo nice to be just a couple again. we went swimming at the hotel, and i got to wear my new swim-suit! :) thanks sher-bear for watching tenley!!! and thank you scott for the best birthday ever! i love you so much!

a little catching up

guys, i escaped out of my bumbo yesterday!

i was reaching, reaching, reaching for a toy, and decided

i could NOT reach it while sitting in this constrictive yellow

chair, and HAD to find a way out! i arched my back, and

rolled my body, and FLOP! i did it!!! mom pointed and laughed!

there's a BIG possibility it will end up on my blog. :)

tenley is SO CHEESEY!! she has been smiling for
the camera lately! i don't think she knows what it
is, but she has been taking GREAT pics! work it, tenley!

she was so proud when she pulled the laundry basket
over, and made herself a little fort. she played in there
for at least 15 minutes. such a weirdo!

Found Furniture, Wahoo!

All of that waiting and stress paid off-- we found the perfect deal on furniture! A Rent-to-Own furniture place up the street from our house was selling a bunch of old used inventory. We got a reclining sofa, and matching loveseat for $399! Yippeeeee! Scott turns to me and says: "Does that mean I finally get my flat-screen TV?" NO! :-)

furniture-less

we are officially furniture-less. our living room is bare. we sold our couch set on craigslist so that we could "down-size" and get something more comfortable. HOWEVER scott and i can't agree on ANY piece of furniture!! sooo we haven't bought anything yet. i fear buying something we end up not liking, and having buyer's remorse down the road. so don't come over unless you want to sit on the floor. :) or cuddle with me on the air mattress! hehehe

we have been to: RC Willy, Ashley, Mor Furniture, Furniture Row, Aaron's, 4-Day. And check craigslist.com every day. BLEH! anyone have great ideas on where to find couches??

IT WAS A FUN little LUNCH!

sick of working...

i am just sick of working. it's getting harder and harder for me to find the desire to get myself ready, get T ready, drop her off, and make it to work by 8 am. she looked so stinkin' cute when i was getting ready this morning! i didn't want to leave. :( thank goodness for short days. i mean.. i want to contribute, and help provide for our family so that scott can go to school.. but sometimes it is just hard to be motivated!
