Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas last weekend, the first time we've really left the girls. We had a really fun weekend together! Here are some pictures, in no particular order... maybe I will organize them in the next couple days... probably not. :)

Water massages in mall casino kiosk..

Pictures with the wax Jessica Simpson..

Roller coaster

On the balcony of our hotel before heading to Phantom of the Opera..
NY NY casino in the back.. with replica Statue of Liberty and a roller coaster we rode.

MGM hotel and casino where we stayed..
M & M store...

Lion exhibit at our hotel..

Calling home to check on the kids...
Flamingos...
Yummy crepes at the Paris casino/hotel...
I love crepes. We ate all weekend.
Went to dinner with cousins!
Coca-Cola store, yum!

Coca-Cola polar bear...
Eating candied blue gummy bears from one of the many candy stores..
It was so weird for us to be alone together, without kids. The first day we moped around not knowing what to do with ourselves! But then we realized we could do ANYTHING and had a blast together. Thank you grandma Sheilah for watching the girls!

$$ Help me help you! $$

Dear friends & friends of friends,

2010 was another banner year for {Cents of Style} and we are looking to hire new stylists for our expanding company. Our customers are very excited about the great items we offer for outstanding prices, and you should be too! I am working to build my team, and I need you so that you can do the same. Here are three reasons as to why you should be interested in joining {Cents of Style}::

1} There isn't a single other company that offers what we offer in product or price point! We have just launched our National Stylist Program, so you have the opportunity to expand your business without limitation!
2} As within any home party business, the key is always to get in at the right time. NOW is the right time with {Cents of Style}! Star now- build your team. You have the chance to be the first of your friends and family to be a {Cents of Style} stylist and introduce it to your own social circle. It snow-balls from there! The product sells itself.
3} This is your chance to do something that you love, that you are passionate about, all while helping women build self confidence with a "cents" of style. Be your own boss. Work as much or as little as you want. Make money.

Let's get you started before our new spring line debuts! I look forward to hearing from you...

Bye-bye Baby Mullet...

Before I became a mom, I never did understand how someone could let their child's hair grow into a nappy mullet! Could they not tell that it was business on top, party in the back?!? Then I was blessed to have a cute little girl with wavey strawberry blonde hair. It was so long and gorgeous... in the back. :) I would bring myself to trim off a tiny bit here and there, but I could not bear to cut off those curls!!! Well I finally did the big cut. And guess what?? We miss it. :'( Scott and I both do. But it will grow back! And hopefully more evenly this time. She is clueless anyway, so I guess it really doesn't matter!
1) I wish I had taken a "before" picture of how long her hair was.. I swear it grew like 3 inches in the last month. It was SO LONG. This is the most recent picture I could find, but it doesn't show the back-
2) The trimmings-
3) AFTER. A big girl hair do. :( Sad day.

What We've Been Up To...

It has been a while since I really blogged.
Aaaaaah, here goes....
Ellie is CRAWLING now! She is almost 8 months old. She is very busy and gets into everything. She has been crawling for 8 days and has already eaten: paper, leaves, and dog food. I ended up weaning her early and put her on sensitive formula.... she is sleeping better and is so much happier, not colicy at all. Whewww! She loves to annoy her sister, and gets pushed out of the way quite frequently. She is becoming more aware of her surroundings and loves attention. She is still a momma's girl though. :) She has brought us so much joy, and we are grateful for this little girl every day. And I know I am partial, but I think she is pretty darn cute too!

Halloween...

Tenley is getting big! She is 28 months now. She is a little bit delayed, and sees a speech therapist once a week. She is making progress that may seem slow to others, but as her mother I am totally thrilled with every single miniscule thing she learns! I worry so much about her, and pray for her a lot. She is learning so much. She is very sweet and loving, but silly and nerdy too. When she plays with her puzzles, when she puts a piece in the right spot, she says to herself in the sweetest little voice, "uh-huhhhh" in approval. She loves her baby sister and mauls her with hugs and kisses. They are starting to play together and fight together. It's pretty cute! Tenley loves nursery. LOVES. Her nursery leaders are a-ma-zinggg! They are two of the nicest grandma aged ladies in the world. And Tenley is their favorite- just kidding. :)
Aaaah, Tenley is my favorite little two year old and red headed sweet girl!
Holiday shopping open house...
and "just" cupcakes for dessert.

We have been loving the beautiful snow! We have since gotten a snow suite for poor little T... but she didn't mind the cold one bit, we had to drag her inside screaming and fighting when she was evidently too cold. We've been running our fireplace, drinking hot cider and white hot chocolate, and even put up our Christmas tree early. :)
Wow, this is turning into a long update. Two more quick things....
1) We are going to VEGAS in January! With NO KIDS!!!!! Scott and I have never been on a vacation alone, not even a honeymoon. I have been working hard with my side business Cents of Style this month to pay for our trip. & I did it! We are very, no- VERY excited to go!
2) My sister Heather and I are in a city volleyball league this winter. It is soooo much fun!!! But man, I am out of shape! My body is not what it used to be and I am figuring out what it can and can't do now. Haha... I will get there. Some day. :) This picture made me smile.
There you have it, you are updated!
Happy Holidays to everyone we love...
